Safety 3rd! Yep, I'm not going to BS you and tell you safety 1st!
YOU ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!
Safety devices, procedures, and practices have been established yet there's a secret that isn't so secret:
Most safety standards have been established after someone was hurt, injured, or killed.
What does this mean?
If you don't keep an eye out for yourself and keep yourself self then you might have a safety practice attributed to a mistake. But why 3rd?
You can be right and scared OR you can be safe and effective?
...being right can mean being willfully ignorant of the truth!
You will have to do things that will seemingly be dangerous, it's when you understand how things work and how they can go wrong is when you can equip yourself with the knowledge to keep you safe.
It is ignorance and stupidity that will kill you! That might offend someone but would you rather be offended or safe?
e.g. You will come in contact with live electrical circuits on a vehicle. If you know what you are doing you will stay safe. If you cause a high current drain you could cause the battery to explode. Accidents happen so we wear eye protection!
